One of only two centres in Shropshire, the club offers the full range of RYA approved dinghy sailing courses at a discount to members. The courses are open to non-members but at a higher cost; we'd like you to join us!

We will be running the following RYA courses in 2012 so please let the Training Principal (link below) know if you are interested in one of these courses.  Book now to avoid disappointment!  The club can run a range of RYA courses so contact us if you want any other RYA course eg Adult Level 3, First Aid, Start Racing, Power Boat Level 2 (Inland), RYA Safety Boat, Assistant Instructor, Instructor - we may be able to help. Courses are run Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 4:30pm.

The club depends on members who are qualified RYA Instructors volunteering their time to run these courses and this often involves them making changes to personal commitments - well in advance - in order to support a course.  It is therefore important that participants attend the course they have booked and that the club has good warning of any changes to bookings.

Half of the course fee must be paid as a deposit at the time of booking and the remaining half four weeks before the course starts to secure your place.  The club requires 14 days notice in writing or by email of any cancellation (e.g received by midnight the Friday two weeks before the course starts), refunds after that point will be at the discretion of the General Committee.  We regret the need to operate such a robust booking and payment system but we cannot afford to waste valuable volunteer Instructor time and we need to ensure that we have qualified Instructors available to meet demand throughout the year.

*To compensate for the higher Joining Fee paid by members who joined before 1st January 2011 a discount of £15/course is on offer until 31st March 2013. This is the final year for this discount.
